PRODUCT INFORMATION
BEHR PREMIUM® Transparent Log Home Gloss Finish is a durable and exible formula that moves with the natural expansion
and contraction of natural wood surfaces and will also protect from the sun’s harmful UV rays. It’s available in both clear and
cedar nishes, and is also great for fences and siding.
RECOMMENDED USES:
Ideal for use on exterior surfaces such as:
• Wood
Do not use on horizontal surfaces subject to foot trac.

material from spraying.
APPLICATION:
• Clean and recoat surface when nish no longer has gloss or
luster of if the lm is broken. Thoroughly seal the ends of
the boards and all porous areas such as knots with several
thin coats.
• Maintain wet edge when applying. Back-brushing during
all apoplication methods. Apply product end-end or to
board lengths to prevent lap marks.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
The following steps and products are recommended for
best results: If you use a product such as BEHR PREMIUM®
Wood Stain & Finish Stripper No. 64 to remove loose wood
bers, latex, oil-based and 100% acrylic coating on new
or weathered wood, then you must use BEHR PREMIUM®
All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63 to brighten & neutralize
wood. If you do not use BEHR PREMIUM Wood Stain & Finish
Stripper No. 64, use a product such as BEHR PREMIUM All-
In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63 to clean and brighten the wood
sruface and to remove light to medium stains caused by
mold, mildew, algae & fungus. On new wood, use a product
such as BEHR PREMIUM All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63 to
remove mill glaze and open the pores of the wood. Rinse
thoroughly and allow to dry before coating. Lightly sand any
remaining wood bers/fuzz..
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you
may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE,
ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD
ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator
to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA
vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, nd out how to
protect yourself and your family by contacting the National
Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to
www.epa.gov/lead.
CLEANUP/DISPOSAL:
Clean all tools and equipment with warm, soapy water. Do
not dispose of this product down a drain. If spilled, contain
material and remove with an inert absorbent. Dispose of
contaminated absorbent, container and unused product
in accordance with all current federal, state and local
regulations. For recycling or disposal of empty containers
unused product and soiled rags, contact your household
refuse collection service.
CAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS:
• For best results, apply when air, material and surface
temperatures are between 40°F and 90°F. Do not apply in
direct sunlight. Temperatures above 90°F can cause the
coating to dry too fast, whereas temperatures below 40°F
can inhibit proper lm formation.
• Do not use if rain is expected within 24 hours.
• Test product for color on a small hidden area before
proceeding.
• Avoid applying nish too heavily. Over application of stain
will lead to surface failure including peeling & cracking.
• Shelf life under normal conditions is two years unopened.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
WARNING IRRITANT HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED.
CONTAINS ALKYD RESIN. MAY CAUSE EYE, NOSE AND THROAT
IRRITATION. AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN AND EYES AND
AVOID BREATHING OF VAPORS AND SPRAY MIST. WEAR EYE
PROTECTION AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. USE ONLY WITH
ADEQUATE VENTILATION. To avoid breathing vapors and
spray mist, open windows an doors or use other means to
ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you
experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase
fresh air. If properly used, a respirator (NIOSH approved for
organic vapor with P series particulate pre-lter) may oer
additional protection; obtain professional advice before
using. A dust mask does not provide protection against
vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly
after handling. Close container after each use.
FIRST AID: If you experience diculty in breathing,
leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued diculty is
experienced, get medical assistance immediately. In case of
eye contact, ush immediately with plenty of water for at
least 20 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash
thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, get medical
attention immediately.
CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN – DO NOT
TAKE INTERNALLY.
