WOOD STAIN & FINISH STRIPPER

PRODUCT INFORMATION
BEHR PREMIUM® Wood Stain & Finish Stripper is designed to remove oil, latex-based, and 100% acrylic nishes such as
semi-transparent stains, solid color stains and clear sealers. It also removes loose wood bers to help ensure a sound
surface prior to staining or painting. Created especially for use on wood deck and siding surfaces.
RECOMMENDED USES:
Intended for use on exterior latex and oil-based coatings over wood.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Be sure to have a source for water, hose with nozzle and
sti bristle broom or brush and a product such as
BEHR PREMIUM® All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63. DO NOT
THIN PRODUCT. Do not apply in direct sunlight or on hot
surfaces. Dampen nearby foliage with water and cover
with plastic drop cloths. Wear protective clothing,
goggles, acid resistant gloves, and NIOSH approved
respirator. Conduct a small test patch in an inconspicuous
area to ensure product performance. Prevent all rinse
solution from entering storm drains.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may
release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. Contact the National
Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on
to www.epa.gov/lead.
CLEAN UP:
Clean all tools and equipment with clean water. For proper
disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact
your household refuse collection service.
CAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS:
• Protect from freezing.
• For best results, apply at temperatures between
50°F - 90°F. Temperatures above 9F may aect the
application such as drying too fast. Avoid painting in direct
sun. NOTE: If the surface is hot to the touch it should be
considered too hot to apply this coating.
• Avoid heavy trac for 24 hours.
• CAUTION: Surfaces may become slippery when
wet. Use caution when walking on surface when
moisture is present.
• Allow two weeks before washing or cleaning for full cure.
• Shelf life under normal conditions is two years unopened.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Danger! Causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage.
May be corrosive to metals. Wear protective clothing, gloves,
eye, and face protection. Do not breathe vapors or spray
mist. Do not eat, drink, or smoke when using this product.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wash contaminated
clothing before use. Keep only in original, corrosive resistant
container and store locked up. Dispose of unused contents,
container and other contaminated waste in accordance with
local, state, federal and provincial regulations.
First aid: If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for
several minutes. Remove contacts if present and easy to do.
Continue rinsing and get medical attention immediately.
If on skin or hair: Immediately remove all contaminated
clothing, rinse skin with water and get medical attention.
If inhaled: Leave the area if you experience diculty
breathing, headaches, or dizziness to obtain fresh air and
keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
If diculty continues, get medical attention immediately.
If swallowed: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting.
Get medical attention immediately.
