Use and Care Manual

BEHR PRO
®
HP Pre-Catalyzed
Waterborne Epoxy Semi-Gloss
WHERE TO USE
Ideal for high maintenance areas subject to frequent cleaning.
PREPARATION
All surfaces should be properly prepared and cleaned.
Remove loose paint, wash off dirt and grease with detergent,
rinse and allow to dry. Remove mildew stains with a mildew
stain removing product. Scuff sand glossy surfaces and
repair imperfections. Remove all dust with a damp cloth,
allow to dry. Allow new concrete, plaster and masonry to
cure for 30 days before painting.
PRIME
Prime new drywall with a product such as BEHR PREMIUM
PLUS
®
No. 73 Drywall Primer & Sealer. For stain-blocking, or
over oil-based or glossy surfaces, use a product such as BEHR
PREMIUM PLUS All-In-One Primer & Sealer No. 75. For disaster
restoration use a product such as water-base KILZ MAX
®
Primer
or oil-base KILZ Original Primer to permanently block severe
stains and odors. After priming, test for stain bleed-through
by applying the topcoat to a small section. If the stain bleeds
through the topcoat, apply a second coat of primer and test
again before top-coating the entire area. If bleeding continues,
allow primer to dry a full 24 hours before top-coating. Prime all
metal surfaces before painting. Prime all metal surfaces before
painting.
APPLICATION
Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90° F
(10-32° C). Stir paint occasionally. Intermix containers of
same product to ensure color and sheen uniformity. Use a
high quality 1/4-3/4” nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or
airless sprayer (.015-.021" spray tip, 60 mesh filter). Product is
formulated for use at package consistency only. DO NOT THIN.
Certain colors may require more than one coat for complete
hide. Darker colors may require additional dry time between
coats. Cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong
drying time. After 2 weeks, cured paint film may be cleaned with
a mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent. Dry paint
film is mildew resistant.

ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

experienced, get medical assistance immediately. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty
