PRODUCT INFORMATION
BEHR® Barn & Fence Paint is an exterior paint combining the best features of oil and latex for superior color retention, adhesion,
penetration and durability. Dry lm will not harm livestock.
RECOMMENDED USES:
Use on properly prepared exterior vertical surfaces such as smooth or rough sawn wood.

Thinning: (If required) No more than 1/2 pint of water
per gallon.
Dry Time: @ 77° & 50% RH
To Touch: 2-3 hours
To Recoat: 6-8 hours
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Proper surface preparation is required:
Remove stains caused by mold and mildew with a mold and
mildew stain removing product.
Previously painted, stained or clear sealed wood:
Sand all glossy surfaces. If surface is in good condition, apply
directly over clean, dry surface. If the latex or oil-based nish
has started to crack, peel or ake, use a product such as BEHR
PREMIUM® Wood Stain & Finish Stripper No. 64 on wood to
remove the coating. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with a product
such as BEHR PREMIUM All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63. Scrub,
rinse, and allow
to dry completely.
New, weathered, pressure treated or uncoated wood:
If wood bers or debris are pulled onto the tape, the wood
surface is not sound and additional preparation is required as
follows: Clean surface with a product such as BEHR PREMIUM
NO. 64 Wood Stain & Finish Stripper. Rinse. Follow with a
product such as BEHR PREMIUM NO. 63 All-In-One Wood Cleaner
at full strength to remove mill glaze and/or loose wood bers,
dirt and other debris. Rinse and allow to dry.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint,
you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. Contact the

visit www.epa.gov/lead.
RECOMMENDED PRIMER/SYSTEMS:

• BEHR PREMIUM PLUS® Exterior Multi-Surface Primer &
Sealer No. 436
CLEAN UP:
Clean all tools and equipment with clean water. For proper
disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact
your household refuse collection service.
CAUTIONS/LIMITATIONS:
• Protect from freezing.
• For best results, apply at temperatures between 50 - 90°F.
Temperatures above 90°F may aect the application such
as drying too fast. Avoid painting in direct sun. NOTE: If the
surface is hot to the touch it should be considered too hot
to apply this coating.
• Avoid heavy trac for 24 hours.
• Allow two weeks before washing or cleaning for full cure.
• Shelf life under normal conditions is two years unopened.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Warning! Causes eye and skin irritation. Harmful if
swallowed. Wear protective clothing, gloves, eye, and
face protection. Do not eat, drink, or smoke when using
this product. Take o contaminated clothing and wash
it before reuse. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Collect spillage and avoid release to the environment.
Dispose of unused, contents, container and other
contaminated wastes in accordance with local, state,
federal and provincial regulations.
First aid: If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for
several minutes and remove contacts if present and easy
to do. Continue rinsing and get medical attention if eye
irritation persists. If on skin: Wash with plenty of soap
and water. If swallowed: Rinse mouth and get medical
attention if you feel unwell.
