fiberglass, coated metal and composition surfaces. Excellent

SURFACE PREPARATION
(For best results) 1. Surfaces (raw and
previously nished) must be dry, clean, and free of dirt, grease and
glue. 2. For Raw Wood: Sand with #120-grit sandpaper followed by
#180-grit or ner for a smoother nish if desired. Remove all dust.
3. Over Previously Finished Surfaces: Lightly sand surface with a
400 grit sandpaper. Remove all dust. 4. To ensure uniform stain
color and beautiful results on bare wood, apply BEHR Oil-Based
Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner prior to staining. Follow label instructions.
PRODUCT PREPARATION AND COLOR TESTING Stir stain
thoroughly before and occasionally during use. Do not thin. Always
test stain on an inconspicuous area of the wood to verify desired
color. Color will vary depending on type of wood. Work in a well-
ventilated area.
STAIN APPLICATION ON BARE WOOD 1. After wood surface has
been cleaned, sanded smooth and all dust removed, apply stain
liberally in direction of grain with a brush, foam applicator or lint
free cloth. 2. Allow stain to penetrate 5-10 minutes. 3. Wipe with
a soft cloth, rst across the grain, then with the grain until all
excess is wiped off. 4. Do not allow stain that has not absorbed
to dry on surface.
CLEAR FINISH APPLICATION 1. Allow stain to dry a minimum of
12 hours. Complete your project by applying a BEHR
®
clear
protective nish, following label directions.

DANGER HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED. COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID AND VAPOR. CONTAINS:
PETROLEUM DISTILLATES, LINSEED OIL, NEPHELINE SYENITE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, NAPHTHA,
IRON OXIDE, CARBON BLACK, METHYL ETHYL KETOXIME AND ETHYLBENZENE. MAY AFFECT
THE BRAIN OR NERVOUS SYSTEM CAUSING DIZZINESS, HEADACHE OR NAUSEA. CAUSES EYE,
SKIN, NOSE AND THROAT IRRITATION. MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO ORGANS THROUGH PROLONGED
OR REPEATED CONTACT. NOTICE: Reports have associated repeated prolonged occupational exposure to
solvents with permanent brain damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling contents may be
harmful or fatal. Keep away from heat and flame. Do not smoke. Prevent build-up vapors by opening all windows and
doors to achieve cross-ventilation. Vapors are heavier than air, and can travel at floor level to distant ignition
sources. Extinguish all flames and pilot lights and turn off stoves, heaters, electric motors, high intensity lights and other
sources of ignition during use and until all vapors are gone. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. To
avoid breathing vapors and spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during
application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air. If properly used, a
respirator (NIOSH-approved for organic vapor with P series particulate pre-filter) may offer additional protection; obtain
professional advice before using. A dust mask does not provide protection against vapors. Avoid contact with eyes
and skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Close container after each use. FIRST AID: If you experience difficulty in
breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately.
In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes and get medical attention;
for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Call physician immediately.
CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN-DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.
