How to find and connect to a wireless Network
1. OpentheWirelessMonitorwindowsbydouble-clickingtheicon
inyoursystemtray.
2. Clickonthe“APList”tab (a).Thiswilldisplayalistofallofthe
networksinyourarea.
3. Double-clickonthenetworkyouwanttoconnectto.Abluecircle
(b) shouldappeararoundthenetworkiconnexttothename
ofthenetworkyouselected.Thismeansyouareconnectedto
thenetwork.Ifthenetworkisusingencryptionsecurity,youwill
needtomakeaprofileforthatnetworkinordertoconnect.See
thesectionofthismanualcalled“ProfileTab”onpage17for
information.

IfyouareusingWindowsXP,pleasereadthissection.
WindowsXPintegratesawirelessmanagementutilityreferredtoas
WindowsXPWirelessZeroConfigurationservice(WZC).TheWZCcan
beusedtocontrolyourAdapteroryoucanusetheBelkinWireless
NetworkMonitorUtility.WesuggestthatyouusetheBelkinUtility
tocontrolyourCardorAdapter.IfyouchoosetousetheWZC,
directionsforoperationoftheWZCareavailableintheWindowsXP
helpfile.WhenyoufirstinstalltheCardorAdapter,theBelkinUtility
willbeenabled.IfyouwanttodisabletheBelkinUtilityinorderto
usetheWZC,followthestepsbelowtodisabletheBelkinUtility.
