Install the software FIRST. If you install the Card inside of your PC before you install the software, it will not work until you install the software. 2. Install the Card inside of your PC. 3. Turn on your PC and let Windows operating system (OS) finish installing the Card.

The first thing you will notice is the “Profile Name” bar. Using profiles allows you to save configurations for different wireless networks.

A drop-down list of profiles will appear (see below). Type in the name of the network into the “Network Name” box. Note: “ANY” does not work in Peer-to-Peer mode. The Network Name can be anything you want it to be (for instance, “Home”). 1. Select “Access Point” in the “Operating Mode” box by clicking the down-facing arrow and highlighting your selection.

The first is a wireless adapter for a PC. This can be either a USB wireless adapter or a PCMCIA adapter. The adapter gives the PC wireless Ethernet capabilities.
