Safer Socket is a unique device that

uses patent-pending technology to

protect against electrical ﬁres. When

an electrical product is plugged into

the Safer Socket, it will monitor the

temperature of the plug to make sure

that it is operating at a safe

temperature. Should there be a rise in

temperature which could lead to

an electrical ﬁre, Safer Socket will

automatically shut off the device that is

plugged into it to prevent damage.

Safer Socket’s indicator light shows

green when the unit is plugged in and

energized and red when overheating

has taken place and your electrical

device is shut off. Resetting is simple.

Wait about 10 minutes for the plug to

cool and unplug Safer Socket from your

wall outlet and plug it in again. The

green light will illuminate and you can

use your electrical devices again. If the

problem persists, we recommend that

you contact a qualiﬁed electrician to

examine the faulty outlet or discontinue

use of that outlet.
