Instructions for Bellman Visit Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit
Bellman Visit Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit is part of the Visit System. Bellman Visit
Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit transmitts signals to Bellman Visit Receivers when
activated by the smoke alarm.
This is what to do!
1. Read both enclosed Garvan and Bellman & Symfon installation and maintenance manuals care-
fully.
2. Follow the Garvan instructions for location of the smoke alarm and battery installation.
Straighten the antenna (1) to point towards the oor.
3. Activate the Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit by pressing the test button (2) for ve seconds.
Check that Bellman Visit Receiver receives the signal from the Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit
everywhere in the house/apartment. For this test it is advisable to ask a relative for assistance. The
bedrooms are of most importance to check.

A fault is not always serious. Follow the troubleshooting chart below before calling for service.
Symptom Procedure
Bellman Visit receivers give intermittent smoke
alarm indications for no reason, as it seems.
Change battery in the smoke alarm.
Bellman Visit receivers do not receive signals from
the Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit.
1) Check that the Smoke Alarm Transmitter Unit
antenna is straightened and pointing towards the
oor.
2) Check the batteries in the receiver.
