WhenyouwanttoreturntolisteningtothesignalsourceconnectedtotheExternalsound
sourceinput(1),releasetheabutton(6).Theinternalmicrophoneisthendisconnectedandthe
externalsoundsourcereturnstonormalvolumeagain.
Clip
Remove the clip by using
the small round handles and
pressing out from the sides.
Place the clip against the battery cover and press rmly so that it locks on.
Indicators and settings
Volume and Tone LED Indicator
TheVolumeandToneLEDIndicator(8)isusedasanindicatorforthevolumeandtonecon-
trols.
TheVolumeandToneLEDIndicatorgoesoutafterabout3secondstosavepower.
Low battery LED
TheLowbatteryLED(11)isnormallyoff,butcomesonwhenthebatterylevelfallsbelow
about10hours’remainingoperatingtime.Thistimedepends,ofcourse,onthesoundvolume
andtypeoflisteningaccessoriesused.
WhentheLowbatteryLED(11)blinkseverysevenseconds,thebatteriesshouldbereplaced
withnewones.OnlyuseAAalkalinetypebatteries.
Volume control
Maxihasadigitalvolumecontrolbc(9),whichmeansthatyoucanincreaseorreducethe
volumewiththepushbuttonsbc(9).Eachpressresultsinanincreaseorreductioninvolume
byoneincrement.
Ifyouholdoneofthevolumebuttonsdownformorethan1second,thevolumewillincreaseor
reducebyoneincrementpersecondaslongasthebuttonishelddownoruntiltheminimumor
maximumpositionisreached.
Bypressingthecbutton(9),thevolumeisincreasedbyoneincrementatatimeuntilthemaxi-
mumvolumeisreached.AtfullvolumealltheLEDsoftheVolumeandToneLEDIndicator(8)
areilluminated.
Bypressingthebbutton(9),thevolumeisreducedbyoneincrementatatimeuntilthemini-
mumvolumeisreached,althoughMaxineverbecomestotallysilent.Atminimumvolumeonly
theleftLEDoftheVolumeandToneLEDIndicator(8)isilluminated.
