Cell Broadcast m essages ar e t ext m essages
broadcast ed by t he net w or k t o groups of GSM
phone users. They provide general inform ation
such as weather report s, traffic new s, and st ock
m arket pr ices. Each t y pe of inform at ion has an
associat ed inform at ion t ype num ber.
When you receive broadcast m essage, it is
aut om atically displayed on t he screen. I f the
m essage is so long and cannot display all in a
screen, scroll t hrough it by pressing t he
< Navigat ion Up> or < Navigat ion Down> key.
Your phone w ill store it until a new m essage of
the channel is reached.
The following opt ions ar e available.
Act iv at e: allows y ou t o enable or disable the
reception of broadcast m essages. Select ACtiv at e
to receive the broadcast m essages or Deact ivat e
not t o do.
Re a d: let s you view t he last received m essages.
N EW : allows you t o indicat e the channels from
which you wish to receive broadcast m essages by
adding t he CB m essage cat egory in t he phone or
SI M m em or y.
Several opt ions ar e available.
LI ST: View t he channel from the list
Delet e: used t o rem ove a channel from the list by
< Right> key.
CB Ale r t : allows you to set how m any t im es and
how oft en t he phone alerts you the incom ing
CB m essages. I f you do not want t o be aler t ed,
select OFF. I f y ou select One Tim e, t he phone
will alert you j ust one t im e when a m essages
com es in. I f y ou select Periodic, t he phone w ill
alert y ou at every pr edefined tim es.

Using t his m enu, you can list en to y our voice
Messages.

your service provider for m ore inform at ion.
Set Voice M a il
allows you to store or change the num ber of your
Voice m essage centre r equired w hen list ening to
your voice messages. You m ust obt ain t his num ber
from your service provider.
