Never use any char ger or bat t ery t hat is
dam aged in any w ay.
Use t he bat t ery only for it s int ended purpose.
I f y ou use t he phone near t he net work s base
st ation, it uses less power; t alk and st andby
tim es are great ly affect ed by t he signal st rengt h
on the cellular net w ork and t he param et ers set
by the network operat or.
Bat ter y charging t im es depend on the
rem aining bat ter y charge and the t ype of bat t ery
and charger used. The bat t ery can be charged
and discharged hundr eds of t im es, but it will
gradually w ear out . When the oper at ion t im e
( t alk t im e and st andby t im e) is not iceably
short er t han norm al, it is tim e to buy a new
bat t ery.
I f left unused, a fully charged battery w ill
discharge it self over t im e.
Use only approv ed bat t eries and recharge your
bat t ery only w it h approved chargers. When a
char ger is not in use, disconnect it fr om t he
power source. Do not leave t he battery
connect ed t o a char ger for m ore t han a week,
since over charging m ay shorten it s life.
Ext rem e tem perat ures will affect t he charging
capacit y of y our bat t ery: it m ay require cooling
or w arm ing first .
Do not leave t he bat t ery in hot or cold places,
such as in a car in sum m er or wint er condit ions,
as you w ill reduce the capacity and life- t im e of
the bat t ery. Alw ays t ry t o keep t he battery at
room tem perat ure. A phone wit h a hot or cold
bat t ery m ay t em porarily not work, even w hen t he
bat t ery is fully char ged. Li- ion bat t eries are
particularly affect ed by tem perat ures below 0 ° C
( 32 ° F).
Do not short- circuit t he battery. Accidental
short circuiting can occur w hen a m et allic obj ect
( coin, clip or pen) causes a dir ect connect ion
bet ween t he + and - t erm inals of the bat t ery
( m et al strips on t he back of t he battery) , for
exam ple when you carry a spare bat t er y in a
pocket or bag. Short- circuit ing t he ter m inals m ay
dam age t he battery or the object causing t he
short - cir cuit .
Dispose of used batt eries in accordance w it h
local regulat ions. Alw ays recycle. Do not dispose
of batteries in a fire.
Caution : Risk of ex plosion if battery is replaced
by an incor rect type. Dispose of used bat t eries
according to t he inst ruct ions.

Do not use a hand- held m obile phone while
driving a vehicle. I f using a hand-held phone,
park t he vehicle before conversing. Alway s secure
the phone in it s holder, do not place the phone
on the passenger seat or where it can break
loose in a collision or sudden st op.
The use of an aler t device t o operat e a vehicle s
light s or horn on public r oads is not per m it t ed.
