Cell Broadcast m essages ar e t ex t m essages
broadcast ed by the network t o groups of GSM
phone user s. They provide general inform at ion
such as weat her reports, traffic news, and st ock
m arket prices. Each t ype of inform at ion has an
associat ed inform at ion t y pe num ber.
When you receive broadcast m essage, it is
aut om at ically displayed on the scr een. I f t he
m essage is so long and cannot display all in a
screen, scroll t hrough it by pressing t he
< Navigat ion Up> or < Navigat ion Dow n> key.
Your phone will store it unt il a new m essage of
the channel is reached.
The follow ing opt ions are av ailable.
Act ivat e: allows you t o enable or disable the
recept ion of broadcast m essages. Select ACtivat e
to receive the broadcast m essages or Deact ivate
not to do.
Re a d: let s you view the last r eceived m essages.
N EW : allow s you to indicat e t he channels fr om
which you w ish t o receive broadcast m essages by
adding t he CB m essage cat egory in t he phone or
SI M m em ory.
Several opt ions are available.
LI ST: View the channel from t he list
Delet e: used to r em ove a channel fr om the list by
< Right > key.
CB Ale r t : allows you to set how m any t im es and
how often t he phone alerts you the incom ing
CB m essages. I f you do not want t o be alerted,
select OFF. I f y ou select One Tim e, the phone
will alert you j ust one t im e when a m essages
com es in. I f you select Periodic, t he phone will
alert you at every predefined t im es.
Call Voice m a il
Using t his m enu, you can list en t o your voice
Messages.

allows you t o st ore or change t he num ber of your
Voice m essage cent re requir ed when list ening to
your voice messages. You m ust obt ain t his num ber
from your service pr ovider.
