- Once for the first charact er

For exam ple, you press t he 2 key t hree t im es
quickly t o display the char act er “ C” , t he 5 key
two t im es quickly to display t he charact er “ L” .
So, t his m et hod is called Multi- t ap t yping.
The cursor m oves t o t he r ight w hen y ou pr ess a
different key. When ent ering t he sam e charact er
twice ( or a different character on t he sam e key) ,
j ust wait for a few seconds for the cursor t o m ove
right aut om at ically, and t hen select t he
next charact er.

charact ers assigned on each key .

There are t wo shift stat es:
Lower Case is indicated by abc in t he display,
and Capit als Lock is indicat ed by ABC.

• To view your m essage without m oving t he
cur sor, press t he volum e keys on t he left side
of t he phone.
• To m ove t he cursor left or r ight t hrough y our
text m essage, press t he < or > key.
Clea r in g St r oke s and Chara ct ers
Press t he Ba ck soft key one or m ore t im es t o
rem ove char act ers fr om the Text Area.
N um ber Mode
Num ber m ode is indicated by 1 2 3. I t enables you
to enter num ber s int o a t ext m essage. Press keys
corr esponding t o t he desired digits, and m anually
swit ch back to t he text ent ry m ode of choice.
Sym bol M ode
Sym bolic m ode enables you t o ent er sym bols int o
a t ext m essage.
To scroll t hrough t he sym bols available, press t he
All Navigat ion Key(the volum e key on t he left
side of t he phone) . Press t he keys cor responding
to t he desired m ark, t hen t he phone
aut om at ically swit ches back to t he t ext ent ry
m ode used j ust prior t o select ing Sym bols m ode.
