Acce ss Codes 
There are sever al access codes t hat are used by 
your phone and its SI M card. These codes help 
you prot ect  t he phone against  unaut horized use. 
Phon e Pa ssw ord 
The securit y code can be used t o avoid  
unauthorized use of your  phone. The securit y 
code 0000 is usually supplied with t he phone. 
Change t he secur it y code before you st art using 
your phone. Keep the new code secret  and in a 
safe place, which is separate from  t he phone. 
I f y ou key in an incorrect  securit y code five tim es 
in succession, t he phone will not accept the 
corr ect code for the next  five m inut es. 
PI N  code 
The PI N ( Personal I dent ificat ion Num ber) code 
prot ects y our SI M card against  unaut horized use. 
The PI N code is usually supplied w it h t he SI M 
card. When t he PI N code request  is enabled 
( Menu 6- 6) , the code is asked each t im e t he 
phone is swit ched on. 
I f y ou key in an incorrect  PI N code three tim es in 
succession, key in the PUK code and press 
SELECT. 
Key in a new PI N code and press SELECT. Key  in 
the 
new code again and press SELECT. 
PI N 2  code 
The PI N2 code, supplied w it h som e SI M car ds, is 
required t o access som e funct ions, such as 
charging unit  counters. These funct ions are only 
available if support ed by y our SI M card.
