I f y ou key in an incorrect  PI N2 code t hree t im es 
in succession, k ey in t he PUK2 code and press 
SELECT key in a new PI N2 code and press 
SELECT Key 
in the new  code again and press SELECT. 
PUK code 
The PUK ( Per sonal Unblock ing Key)  code is 
required t o change a blocked PI N code. The PUK 
code m ay  be supplied w ith t he SI M card. I f not , 
cont act  your local ser vice provider for the code. 
I f y ou key in an incorrect  PUK code t en tim es in 
succession, t he SI M card cannot  be used 
anym ore. Cont act  y our service provider for  a 
new card. 
You cannot  change the PUK code. I f you lose t he 
code, contact  your  service pr ovider . 
PUK2  code  
The PUK2 code, supplied wit h som e SI M cards, is 
required t o change a blocked PI N2 code. 
I f y ou key in an incorrect  PUK2 code t en tim es in 
succession, you cannot  use t he funct ions 
requiring the PI N2 code. Cont act  your  service 
provider for a new  card. 
You cannot  change the PUK2 code. I f you lose 
the code, contact  y our service provider. 
Ba rring Pa ssw or d 
The 4-digit barring password is required when 
you use t he Call Barring funct ion. You obt ain t he 
password from  your service provider when you 
subscribe t o t his funct ion.

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li- ion 
st andard battery. 
The follow ing batteries are also available ( ask 
your local dealer  for furt her  det ails) :

Ba t t eries 
•  Never use any charger or bat t ery t hat  is 
dam aged in any way . 
•  Use the bat t er y only for it s intended pur pose. 
•  I f you use t he phone near the network’ s base 
st ation, it  uses less power;  t alk and st andby 
tim es are great ly affect ed by the signal st rengt h 
on the cellular net w or k and t he param et ers set  
by t he network operator. 
•  Bat t ery char ging t im es depend on t he 
rem aining bat t ery charge and t he type of bat t ery 
and charger  used. The battery  can be charged 
and discharged hundreds of t im es, but it  will 
gradually wear out . When the operat ion t im e 
( t alk t im e and st andby t im e)  is not iceably  
shorter  t han norm al, it is t im e t o buy a new 
bat t ery. 
•  I f left  unused, a fully charged battery will 
discharge it self over t im e. 
•  Use only approved bat t eries and recharge your  
bat t ery only w it h approved char gers. When a 
charger is not in use, disconnect  it  from  t he 
power source. Do not  leave t he bat t ery 
connect ed t o a char ger for m ore than a week, 
since over charging m ay short en it s life. 
•  Ext rem e t em peratures will affect  t he charging 
capacity of your bat t ery:  it  m ay r equire cooling 
or warm ing first . 
•  Do not  leave t he battery in hot  or  cold places, 
such as in a car in sum m er  or  wint er condit ions, 
as you w ill reduce t he capacity and life-tim e of
