Low Ba t t ery I ndicator
When the bat t ery charge lev el get s low , y ou can
see an em pt y bat t er y icon at t he t op right of t he
display and a tex t notificat ion.

I f t he battery level gets t oo low , the phone will
turn off aut om at ically. Unfort unat ely, if t his
happens, y ou’ ll lose w hat ever you are doing,
including dropping your call. Wat ch t he bat t ery
st rengt h icon and m ake sure your battery is
adequately charged.
Sw it ching the Phone
On/ Off
1. Press and hold down the < End: Power> key for
m ore t han one second t o swit ch t he phone on.
2. I f t he phone asks for a password, ent er t he
password. For det ails on t he phone password,
see Password
3. I f PI N code request of y our SI M card is
enabled, y our phone asks you to ent er t he PI N
code. Enter t he PI N code, t hen your phone
connect s t o the GSM net work.
The 3 light s on t he cover of t he phone flashes,
and an alert sounds. When the syst em locates
ser vices, you can see t he follow ing idle scr eens
on the m ain and front LCD respect ively.
I f t he phone is out of service, the < Call> icon
and ‘ No Service’ appear in the display. I n this
case, you cannot place and r eceiv e calls. You
can t ry again lat er w hen service is available.
4. When y ou w ish t o swit ch the phone off, hold
down t he< End: Power> key for m ore t han two
seconds

is prohibit ed or when it m ay cause int er fer ence or
danger.
Your Phone ’ s M ode
St a ndby M ode
St andby is t he m ost basic st at e of your phone.
The phone goes into St andby m ode soon after
you t ur n it on, or whenever y ou br iefly press
the< End: Power> key. When your phone is in
St andby m ode, you will t y pically see t he current
dat e and t im e.
I f y ou ent er a phone num ber, you can press
the< Send> key t o dial it , or press t he Sa ve soft
key t o save it in t he int er nal Phonebook .
Press t he < End: Power> key at any t im e to
return to St andby m ode. Be careful; if y ou are on
a call w hen you press t he < End: Power> key,
you will r et urn t o St andby m ode, but it also
disconnect s t he call.
Press t he C or Ba ck soft key sev eral t im es or
hold it down t o return to St andby m ode w it hout
ending t he call.
Ta lk Mode
You can place and answer calls only when your
phone is tur ned on. During a call, the phone is in
Talk m ode. While you are in Talk m ode, pr essing
< Soft Left key> gives you a list of opt ions
referred t o as “ I n- Call Options.”
