Active Flight Plan
1. Once a flight plan has been activated, tap the Flight Plans soft
key from the Main Menu.
2. The active flight plan is displayed. The current leg shows in
magenta color.
EDIT soft key: Tap the Edit soft key to edit the flight plan.
STORED FPLANS soft key: Tap the STORED FPLANS soft key to
display a list of stored flight plans.
TOD soft key: Tap the TOD soft key to display the Top Of Descent
(TOD) page.
FPLAN OFF soft key: When the active flight plan is selected, tap the
FPLAN OFF soft key to deactivate the flight plan. The flight plan
course is removed from the map.
Top of Descent Function
The Top of Descent (TOD) is the point at which the aircraft should
begin descending using a specific descent rate in order to reach a
desired altitude at a specified target. A visual alert
or is
provided prior to the TOD point to allow the pilot to prepare to
descend. Once the TOD point is reached, another visual alert is
provided to indicate that the descent should begin. A visual alert is
also given prior to reaching the target altitude or Bottom of Descent
(BOD).
Descent Profile Entry Window
The T.O.D. soft key is only available when an active Flight Plan or
Direct-To exists.
From the aviation Main Menu Page, tap the Flight Plan icon to
display the Active Flight Plan page.
Tap the T.O.D. soft key to display the Top of Descent window as
shown below.
