Mailbox for E-mails
In order to send or receive E-mail, you need to
set up a mailbox. You can have several mailboxes
and one of them needs to be activated. Activate a
mailbox by selecting it from the list and pressing
.

When the mailbox is set, you can connect the
phone to your remote E-mail server and fetch the
information of your E-mails to the phone. Press

to make the connection when the phone
requests it.
If you want to use the mailbox in off-line, e.g. to
read the E-mails that are already in the mailbox
and not to update information of new E-mails,
press

All incoming E-mails are sorted in chronological
order and listed in the
Mailbox
. Sender´s name is
shown if it is stored in the
Contacts
. If not, E-mail
address is shown.
E-mails representing different message types and
status are separated from each other by icons.
You can have the following types of E-mails in the
mailbox:
New received, unretrieved E-mail
- This means that the phone has been con-
nected to the E-mail server and fetched the
information of your new E-mail, showing
you the sender, recipient(s), subject of the
message, date and time of arrival, attach
-
ment information (if attachments exist) and
message size of the E-mail - but message
content or attachment files are not down

loaded.
New received and retrieved (still unread) E-
mail
- This means that the phone has been con-
nected to the E-mail server, retrieved mes-
sage contents and potential attachment(s)
and has downloaded them to the phone.
Received (read) E-mail
You can read the E-mail by highlighting it and
pressing
.
Open
. If you try to open an E-mail
that has not been retrieved yet, you can retrieve
it at once by pressing
.

when the phone re-
quests it. You can retrieve all new received but
