This operating manual is intended for
- electrical professionals
 qualiedelectrotechnicalpersons
The BENNING CM 3 is designed for measuring in dry conditions. It must not be
used on electrical circuits with a rated voltage greater than 600V (for details refer
to „Environmental Conditions“ section).
The following symbols appear in this manual and on the BENNING CM 3:
Application around and removal from HAZARDOUS LIVE conduc-
tors is permitted.
This symbol indicates dangerous voltage.
This symbol indicates warnings and cautions to be observed when
using the BENNING CM 3 (refer to manual!).
This symbol on the BENNING CM 3 indicates that the BENNING
CM 3 has double insulation (Protection Class II).
This symbol appears in the display when the battery is low.
(DC) Direct current.
(AC) Alternating current.
Ground (voltage against earth)
Note
After unmark the adhesive label „Warnung...“ (on battery compartment lid) the
English text appears.
