8 Maintenance
8.1 Replacing fuses
There are three fuses under the back cover of the BENNING IT 110/ BENNING IT 120 B.
- F1
M 0.315 A / 250 V, 20×5 mm, T.Nr.: 757211
ThisfuseprotectsinternalcircuitryoflowΩresistancefunctioniftestprobesareconnectedto
the mains supply voltage by mistake..
- F2, F3
F 4 A / 500 V, 32×6.3 mm, T.Nr.: 757212
General input protection fuses of test terminals L/L1 and N/L2.
Warning:
- Disconnect any measuring accessory and power off the instrument before opening battery/
fuse compartment cover, hazardous voltage inside.
- Replace blown fuse with original type only, otherwise the instrument may be damaged and/or
operator’s safety impaired.

8.2 Cleaning
No special maintenance is required for the housing. To clean the surface of the instrument use a
soft cloth slightly moistened with soapy water or alcohol. Then leave the instrument to dry totally
before use.
Warning:
- Do not use liquids based on petrol or hydrocarbons.
- Do not spill cleaning liquid over the instrument.
8.3 Periodic calibration
Itisessentialthatthetestinstrumentisregularlycalibratedinordertechnicalspecicationlistedin
this manual can be guaranteed. We recommend an annual calibration. The calibration should be
done by an authorised technical person only. Please contact your dealer for further information.
8.4 Service
For repairs under warranty, or at any other time, please contact your distributor.

Unauthorised persons are not permitted to open the BENNING IT 110/ BENNING IT 120 B. There
are no user replaceable components inside the BENNING IT 110/ BENNING IT 120 B, except
three fuses, refer to chapter 8.1 „Replacing fuses“.
