User's Manual Part 1

ii Safety Information
The design of your phone complies with these standards when used
normally. For body worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets
the FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with the A520 accessories
supplied or designated for this product. Use of other accessories may not
ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines. Hence, when a carry
case, belt clip or holder is used for body-worn operation, it will be better
to position the product at least 1.5cm away from your body.
Specific Operating Restrictions
No metallic component allowed in body-worn accessories.
Antenna Care
Use only the supplied or approved replacement antenna. Unauthorized
antennas, modifications or attachments may damage the phone and
violate FCC regulations.
Phone Operation
Normal Position: Hold the phone as you would any other telephone
with the antenna pointed up and over your shoulder.
For your phone to operate most efficiently, do not touch the antenna
unnecessarily when the phone is in use. Contact with the antenna affects
call quality and may cause the phone to operate at higher power level
than otherwise needed.
Do not expose your phone to temperatures below -10° C (+ 14° F) or
above 45° C (+ 113° F). Always take your phone with you when you
leave your vehicle.
Batteries
For safety concerns, when the temperature of the phone goes over 40° C
(+ 104° F) or below 0° C (+32° F), charging will halt.
