Connection info
You can configure accounts with two
different receive server types: POP3 and
IMAP4. The configured accounts may
have different server types.
Msg preferences
Data service
provider:
Select connection profile.
Receive
server type:
Select POP3/IMAP4.
POP3 server:
If you want to use a POP3
server, enter the Internet
address of the receive
server. If you do not use a
POP3 server you may
leave the input field
empty.
POP3 server
port:
Enter the port number of
the POP3 receive server
(default: 110).
POP3 uses
SSL/TLS:
Activate/deactivate
encryption in
communication with the
POP3 server.
IMAP4 server:
If you want to use a
IMAP4 server, enter the
Internet address of the
receive server. If you do
not use a IMAP4 server
you may leave the input
field empty.
IMAP4 server
port:
Enter the port number of
the IMAP4 receive server
(default: 143).
IMAP4 uses
SSL/TLS:
Activate/deactivate
encryption for
communication with the
IMAP4 server.
SMTP server:
Enter the Internet
address of the send
server.
SMTP server
port:
Enter port number of
send server (default: 25).
SMTP uses
SSL/TLS:
Activate/deactivate
encryption in
communication with the
send server.
SMTP
authenticate:
Activate/deactivate
authentication on the
send server.
Download
mode:
Select Only headers/
Full message/Ask
user.
Max msg size
(KB):
Enter maximum e-mail
size that is retrieved on
the phone. For POP3
this value includes
attachments, for IMAP
it includes only the
e-mail body.
Copy on
serv.(POP3):
(Only POP3 accounts)
Select Yes/No. If No is
selected, the e-mail is
deleted on the server
when it has been
downloaded to the
phone.
