Depending on your provider up to
25 profiles may be preset containing a
collection of settings utilised by
applications.
The following information is displayed
and may be edited:
Profile name:
Default/changed name.
APN: Access point name (URL).
Login: Your login name.
Password: Your password.
Authentication:
Select authentication mode.
DNS 1 (opt):, DNS 2 (opt):
The IP addresses of the used
primary/secondary DNS
server. DNS servers are used
on the Internet to translate
IP addresses into domain
names and vice versa.
Your provider will supply you with your
login and password.
Internet profiles
(Network support dependent)
Depending on your provider up to
25 profiles are preset containing a
collection of settings utilised by
applications.
The following information is displayed
and may be edited:
Profile name:
Default/changed name.
Type: Select profile type: HTTP/
WAP.
Security: Select security mode.
Proxy server:
IP address or domain of the
server used for Internet
access.
Proxy port: Communication port of the
server (1 to 65535).
Commonly the setting is 80
or 8080 for HTTP and 9201
for WAP.
Login: Your login name.
Password: Your password.
Your provider will supply you with your
login and password.
Linger time
(Network support dependent)
Depending on your provider you may
be able to specify the linger time which
will apply to all applications.
