Eject card
To protect your files stored on the Micro
SD card from being accidentally deleted,
you can select this function before
removing the card.
When activated, the Micro SD card will
not be detected even if it is already
inserted in the phone.
Memory assistant
Works the same way as My stuff
(page 72), listing all saved folders and
files in phone memory and on Micro SD
Card.
Phone identity
Switch between tabs to display the
phone identity number (IMEI), the
software configuration or start a Device
check.
The IMEI number may be useful for
customer service.
Device check
A self-test as well as individual tests are
offered. If you select Self test, all
individual tests are carried out.
Device manager (DM)
With the device manager you can start
and control software updates. You can
set server profiles for the update.
Sessions can be initiated in different
ways.
• Manual session: You start the DM
session via this menu option.
• Software update: The phone checks
the software status each time it is
switched on. If an update is available
a request is displayed. Confirm the
requests to start the software update
and to re-boot your phone.
The phone default settings vary from
service provider to service provider.
Master reset
Reset the phone to default values
(factory setting). This does not affect the
SIM card or the network settings.
To reset the phone in standby mode
press * # 9 9 9 9 #.
Clock
Settings > Clock
Time/Date
Enter time (hours/ minutes) or date
(day/ month/year) and confirm
with .
If Auto time is activated (page 85), the
network time is displayed.
To start the Phone identity feature in
standby mode, press * # 0 6 #.
If you want to start a session the battery
must be charged at least 50%.
If the 12-hour time format is activated in
Time format, press / to
switch between am/pm.
