Jog Dial
Use the jog dial to change the following settings:
In Capture mode
• Program mode: Adjusts the flexible program ( 37).
• Aperture Priority mode: Adjusts aperture value ( 38).
• Shutter Priority/Manual mode: Adjusts shutter speed ( 38).
• Scene/Filter mode: Switches to available shooting mode ( 39, 47).
Wheel Dial
Use the wheel dial to do the following:
In Capture mode
• Manual mode: Adjusts aperture value ( 38).
• Aperture Priority/Shutter Priority/Program/Filter mode: Adjusts EV
compensation value ( 36).
In Playback mode
• Viewing file: Views previous/next file ( 32).
In Menu mode
• Item selection: Chooses an option ( 27).
6 Scene
Mode
Lets you select the desired scene mode that suits
your shooting environment. See "Scene mode" on
page 39 for details.
7 Filter Lets you select the desired filter to add to the
image you want to take. See "Filter mode" on page
47 for details.
8 Handheld
Night Shot
Lets you capture photos in a low-light environment,
such as in the evening or at night. See "Handheld
Night Shot mode" on page 48 for details.
9 Background
Defocus
mode
Lets you capture an image that makes a subject
stands out against a blurred background. See
"Background Defocus mode" on page 48 for details.
10 Continuous
Burst
Lets you capture a series of shots with a single press
of the shutter. See "Continuous Burst mode" on
page 48 for details.
