EV/Rotate/Up: • Changes EV settings. • Pauses/Starts video playback. • Rotates an image clockwise by 90 degrees. • Navigates through the menu and submenu selections. 2. Left/Focus: • Scrolls through focus options. • Views the previous image or video clip. • Rewinds video playback. • Exits a submenu or navigates through menu selections. 3. Self-timer/Down: • Scrolls through self-timer options.

Make sure the lens cover and the strap are well combined. 2. Attach the lens cover to the strap as the illustration. 3. Follow the steps below to attach the strap to the camera. Make sure the camera strap is attached at two places. • Wrapping the strap around your neck is dangerous. Refrain children from playing with the strap.

Unlock and open the battery/card cover. 2. Insert the batteries in the correct direction by matching the + - label on the battery slot. 3. Close and lock the battery/card cover. Using other types of batteries may damage the camera and invalidate the warranty. • Ensure that the batteries are inserted into the product with correct polarity. Incorrect polarity may damage the camera or cause fire. • Download all pictures and remove the batteries from the camera if you are going to store the camera for a long time.

Turning the Power On and Off Before turning on the camera, be sure to remove the lens cover. Otherwise, the lens will not be extended and the camera will beep four times. There are two ways to turn on the camera: • Press the Power (ON/OFF) button. The zoom lens extends and the camera is turned on in Record mode. • Press and hold .

If the shake warning appears, you can still capture images. Flash mode The flash offers additional light source (usually used in a low-light environment). You can capture an image using one of the following flash modes. Icon Mode Description Auto Flash The flash fires automatically based on the photographic conditions.
Operating the camera 23 • The flash mode is not available in Continuous Shooting and HDR modes. • The flash mode cannot be activated if the flash does not open. • When the flash is closed, flash mode is automatically set to flash off. Using the Self-timer This feature allows you to set the self-timer settings. Icon / Mode Description 10-sec./2-sec. self-timer Automatically takes a picture after 2 or 10second delay. This mode is useful when you want to be part of the picture.

English Icon Mode / Description Auto Focus With auto focus, the camera will focus on the subject automatically. Macro / Super Macro This mode is designed for close-up photography. When Super Macro is set, the focus cannot be adjusted until Super Macro is canceled. Infinity When Infinity is set, the camera focuses on distant objects.

Lomo Creates a lomo-like effect by adding over saturated colors, dark corners, and so on. Fireworks Adds exposure time to shoot firework trails. Please keep the camera steady or use a tripod while using this mode. Snow Used under a very bright light environment such as snow scenes. Sports Uses a high shutter speed to capture objects in motion.
Operating the camera Icon Mode Description English HDR Automatically increases the dynamic range on necessary portion of the image and enhances the details of dark areas. Using Panorama mode Use this feature to create a panoramic photo from multiple shots. You can combine several shots into one single image quickly and easily. The actual size of stitched image may be different due to the panoramic angle and stitching result as well as the level of camera shaking. To create a panoramic image: 1.

Using Aperture Priority mode Aperture priority is often used when shooting static subjects or emphasizing the depth of field. In general, use a smaller aperture if a greater depth of field is needed.
Operating the camera Recording Videos English You can record video with this camera. Set the movie settings before you start recording a video. To record the video clip: 1. Press to start recording. 2. Use the Zoom lever to zoom in/out on the subject. 3. Press to stop the recording. • The camera will automatically stop recording when the memory capacity is full.

Operating the camera Quality English Sets the quality (compression) at which the image is captured. The quality determines the amount of compression applied to your images. Super Fine quality would give you the best images with sharper details and less compression. However, the higher the quality, the more memory space is required in your memory card. Operating the camera 35 Compensates for color temperatures in different lighting conditions, so white and other colors can display properly when you capture images. Icon Mode Description Auto Adjusts white balance automatically. Daylight Used in bright daylight conditions. Cloudy Used in twilight or shady conditions. Tungsten Used when subjects lit by tungsten (incandescent) lighting. Fluorescent_1 Adjusts for fluorescent lighting. Corrects the green hue of fluorescent lighting.
Operating the camera ISO English ISO configures the camera sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO value, the brighter picture you can take in a low-light environment. Yet, you may see more noise in the picture as you increase the ISO value. Icon Description Automatically sets the ISO value. Equivalent to color ISO 100/200 film. Used for outdoor photography in bright sunlight. Equivalent to color ISO 400/800/1600/3200/6400 film.
