Introduction to the built-in
SideShow device
1. Display: the in-lid secondary display.
2. Built-in microphone: The built-in microphone enables you
to communicate via the VoIP Phone gadget easily.
3. ON/OFF: slides the latch to the ON/OFF position to turn the
SideShow device on or off.
4. LOCK: slides the latch to the LOCK position to lock the
SideShow device.
5. RESET button: resets the SideShow device when there is no
response.
6. Five-way navigation button:
: moving up
: moving down
: moving left
: moving right
OK: Enters/confirms your selection.
7. MENU button: displays the contextual menu with various
options.
8. BACK button: Returns to the previous menu.
Starting up
When you turn on your Joybook or the SideShow device, a
startup splash screen appears on the in-lid secondary display.
Then, you can access the pre-installed gadgets from the Home
Page screen that appears.
Launching a gadget
1. On the Home Page screen, press  or  to select the gadget
you want to launch.
2. Press OK.
