24 How to assemble your monitor hardware
Installing the Shield (shading hood)
To help focusing in games, the Shield (shading hood) avoids the unwanted disturbance interfered
with the peripheral vision while playing.
Two shading hoods are inside the accessory box. Please be careful to prevent damage to the
Shield and the monitor. The shading hoods are well-designed and can fit into your monitor
properly. Do not use excessive force when installing Shield to avoid possible damage.
1. Prepare for the shield installation.
Place the monitor upright on its stand on a flat
even surface. Make sure the monitor is rotated to
the landscape mode.
2. Remove the stickers and the rubbers on
both sides of the monitor.
There are 2 screw holes protected by rubbers and
stickers on each of the right and the left side of the
monitor. Remove the stickers and the rubbers
before shading hood installation.
Keep the rubbers and insert them back to the holes if Shield
has been removed.
3. Attach the Shield to the monitor.
Two shading hoods are not identical. The ZOWIE
logo should be facing outward on the upper
section. Attached the hoods by using a coin or a
flat-head screwdriver and push the screws into the
holes appropriately.
