DANGER
Failure to comply with these Warnings and Instructions
may result in an explosion or fire that may cause property
damage, serious personal injury or death.
DO NOT DISCARD THESE WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
For LP-Gas Only.•
Read all instructions prior to installation and use.•
Disconnection of old hose assembly or installation of new hose •
assembly and leak testing shall take place outdoors in a well
ventilated area.
DO NOT• make modifications to this hose assembly. If this hose
assembly does not fit, return it to the original place of purchase
and obtain the correct hose assembly for your gas appliance.
Examine the new regulator, hoses and fittings for damage. •
If damaged, return to the original place of purchase.
Movement of the gas appliance, removal of old hose assembly •
and installation of new hose assembly shall only be done when
appliance is cool.
The regulator outlet pressure is factory set. Do not attempt to •
adjust or reset regulator. Consult your local LP-Gas supplier
or LP-Gas Serviceman if you think the regulator is not working
properly.
DO NOT• use appliance until leak testing is complete and any
leaks are corrected.

Guidelines for Removal of Old Hose Assembly
1.) Turn burner control knobs to the “off” position and turn
LP-Gas “off” at cylinder by turning cylinder valve handle fully
clockwise.
2.) If this hose assembly is a replacement for a QCC-1 cylinder
connection, disconnect regulator from cylinder valve outlet
by turning the plastic coupling nut counter clockwise until it
disengages from large outside threads on cylinder valve outlet.
3.) If this hose assembly is a replacement for the old style POL
(left hand thread) cylinder connection, disconnect regulator
from cylinder valve outlet by turning POL fitting clockwise.
4.) Using the proper size wrench, disconnect both the 3/8" flare
fitting from the LP-Gas manifold or burner and the 3/8" flare
fitting on the side burner by rotating each fitting counter
clockwise.
Installation Guidelines for New Hose Assembly
1.) Route the hose through any required openings being sure to
avoid any areas that may cause wear or cut the hose. Also
avoid contact with any potential hot surfaces on the appliance.
2.) Connect the 3/8" flare fitting to the LP-Gas manifold or burner
by rotating the fitting clockwise. Tighten using the proper size
wrenches.
3.) Connect the 3/8" flare fitting to the side burner by rotating the
fitting clockwise. Tighten using the proper size wrenches.
4.) Position the black plastic coupling nut on the regulator hose
assembly to the cylinder valve outlet. Connect the coupling
nut to the large outside threads on the cylinder valve outlet by
holding the regulator in one hand and inserting the nipple into
the cylinder valve outlet. Hand tighten the plastic coupling nut
in a clockwise rotation until the plastic coupling nut comes to a
full stop. Do not cross thread the connection.
Note: This regulator & hose assembly is equipped with a
QCC-1 appliance connection and requires a cylinder equipped
with a valve marked for use with a Type 1 connection.
WARNING
When leak testing the connection:
C• onduct leak test outdoors in a well ventilated area.
Do not smoke. •
Do not use or permit sources of ignition in the area while •
conducting a leak test.
Do not use matches, lighters or flame to check for leaks.•
Do not use the appliance until any leaks are co• rrected.
Leak Testing
1.) Before lighting your appliance, check for leaks by applying a
mild soapy water solution to all connections. Slowly open the
cylinder valve and check for leaks. The appearance of bubbles
indicates a leak.
2.) Repair any leaks prior to lighting your appliance. If you cannot
stop a leak by additional tightening of the connection, shut off
the LP-Gas supply at the cylinder valve and have an LP-Gas
service person make the needed repairs.
