2. ForModelsTS7000andTS8000,makesureregulatorvalveisoffby
turningameadjustmentknobclockwiseuntilitstops.Alightstopis
sufcient.DONOTforce.(Note:TheTS4000isnotequippedwitha
ameadjustmentknob.)
3. Holdtorchsothatburntipispointedawayfrompersonsand
ammablematerials.Threadgascylinderintoregulator/torchbody.
Handtightenonly.DONOTforce.
4. Checkalljointsandcouplingsperiodicallytoinsureagainstloose
connections.Withvalveopen,withoutlighting,testallconnections
withsoapywater.Ifbubblesappear,gasisleakingandtorchmustbe
repaired.NEVERUSEAFLAMETOCHECKFORLEAKS.Makethistest
inawellventilatedandspark-freeareaandwheretherearenoopen
ames.
LIGHTING AND OPERATION
1. ForModelsTS7000andTS8000,openregulatorvalvefullybyturning
ameadjustmentknobcounterclockwiseuntilitstops.DONOTforce.
Alwaysfullyopenvalvewhenlightingtopreventdamagetoignition
system.(ExceptTS4000,thatdoesnotincludeaameadjustment
knob.)NEVERlookintotheburnertubeorpointinunsafedirection.
2. TurnignitionbuttontoONposition.
3. Pointthetorchinasafedirectionandpullignitionbuttontowardyou.
Repeatifnecessary.Keepignitionbuttondepressedandadjustthe
amesizebyturningtheameregulatingknob.(ExceptTS4000,that
doesnotincludeaameadjustmentknob.).Whenignitionbuttonis
releasedtheameisautomaticallyextinguished.
4. Toengageamelockfeature,whileignitionbuttonisdepressed,
pressamelockbutton.
5. Toreleaseamelock,pullignitionbuttonuntilamelockbutton
releases.
6. Afterameisextinguished,turnignitionbuttontoOFFposition.
7. Afteruse,makesuretheregulatorvalveisclosedbyturningame
adjustmentknobfullyclockwiseuntilitstops.DONOTforce.

8. DONOTusetorchwiththegascylindertippedmorethan60degrees
fromitsuprightpositionasthismaycausetorchtoare.Thetorch
hasabuiltinregulatorthatcontrolspressureandreducestherisk

recommendedtostartworkingwithadisposablehandtorchcylinder
atroomtemperatureandtokeeptorchuprightasmuchaspossible.
