INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW ELECTRICAL GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING MICROWAVE NEVER use the oven without the turntable and support nor turn the turntable over so that a large dish could be placed in the oven. The turntable will turn both clockwise and counterclockwise. This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW CHILD SAFETY These items can be used for short time reheating of foods that have little fat or sugar in them: • wood, straw, wicker • Children below the age of 7 should use the over the range microwave with a supervising person very near to them. Between the ages of 7 and 12, the supervising person should be in the same room. The child must be able to reach the over the range microwave comfortably.

BEFORE OPERATING Before operating your new Microwave make sure you read and understand this Use and Care Guide completely. TIME COOKING The following steps MUST be taken before any functions can be used. Before you use the over the range microwave: Your over the range microwave can be programmed for 99 minutes 99 seconds (99.99). Always enter the seconds after the minutes, even if they are both zeros. 1. Plug in the Microwave. WELCOME PRESS CLEAR AND PRESS CLOCK will appear. 2. Touch the STOP/CLEAR pad.
SENSOR SENSOR SETTINGS • Bertazzoni's Sensor is a semi-conductor device that detects the vapor (moisture and humidity) emitted from the food as it heats. The sensor adjusts the cooking times and power levels for various foods and quantities. If the sensor does not detect vapor properly when popping popcorn, the oven will turn off, and the time of day will be displayed. If the sensor does not detect vapor properly when cooking other foods, ERROR will be displayed, and the microwave will turn off.
INSTANT SENSOR INSTANT SENSOR NOTE: INSTANT SENSOR allows you to cook or reheat many of your favorite foods by touching just one pad. Two baked potatoes 1. Touch BAKED POTATOES pad. 2. Touch START/ADD A MINUTE. • INSTANT SENSOR can be programmed with More or Less Time Adjustment. See page 15. • The final result will vary according to the food condition (e.g. initial temperature, shape, quality). Check food for temperature after heating. If additional time is needed, continue to heat manually.
SENSOR COOK SENSOR COOK NOTE: You can cook many foods by touching the SENSOR COOK pad and the food number. You don’t need to calculate cooking time or power level. Ground Meat 1. SENSOR SETTINGS REHEAT NOTE: REHEAT allows you to heat three of your favorite foods by touching just one pad. • To increase quantity, touch chosen pad until number in display is same as desired quantity to cook. Ex: touch BEVERAGE three times for 1.5 cups. More or less food than the quantity listed in the chart should be heated following the guidelines in any microwave cookbook. • Reheat can be programmed with MORE OR LESS TIME ADJUSTMENT. See page 15.
SENSOR SETTINGS DEFROST 3. After the second stage, open the door. Shield any warm portions. Close the door. Touch START/ADD A MINUTE pad. DEFROST automatically defrosts all the foods shown in the Defrost Chart. Round the weight to the nearest half pound. (Ex: if the steak's actual weight is 2.2 lb. round to 2.0 lb. If the steak's weight is 2.4 lb. round to 2.5 lb.). 4. After defrost cycle ends, cover and let stand as indicated in the chart below.
CONVENIENT FEATURES KEEP WARM HELP KEEP WARM allows you to keep food warm up to 30 minutes. Help provides 4 features that make using your oven easy because specific instructions are provided in the interactive display. DIRECT USE Soup (1 cup) 1. 1. Touch KEEP WARM pad. CHILD LOCK The CHILD LOCK prevents unwanted oven operation such as by small children. The oven can be set so that the control panel is deactivated or locked. To set, touch HELP, the number 1 and then touch the START/ADD A MINUTE pad.

CLEANING AND CARE ODOR REMOVAL Any piece of equipment works better and lasts longer when maintained properly and kept clean. Cooking equipment is no exception. Your Microwave must be kept clean and maintained properly. Occasionally, a cooking odor may remain in the over the range microwave. To remove, combine 1 cup water, grated peel and juice of one lemon and several whole cloves in a 2-cup glass measuring cup. Boil for several minutes using 100% power.
REPLACING FILTER REPLACING OVEN LIGHTS CHARCOAL FILTER LIGHT BULBS Charcoal Filter, which was installed in your over the range microwave, is used for nonvented, recirculated installation. The filter should be changed every 6 to 12 months depending on use. 1. To replace light bulbs, first disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker panel or by unplugging. 2. To release cover, remove the screw on the light cover. (See illustration.) 1.

AVANT L’USAGE Avant d’utiliser ce four, prendre la peine de lire intégralement ce mode d’emploi. TEMPS DE CUISSON Il faut effectuer les étapes avant de pouvoir utiliser les fonctions. Avant d'utiliser le four à micro-ondes monté au dessus d’une cuisinière : Le four peut être programmé pour une durée de 99 minutes et 99 secondes. Toujours entrer les secondes après les minutes, même si le nombre de secondes est égal à zéro. Avant d’utiliser le four, procéder ainsi : Cuire pendant 5 minutes à 100 % 1.
PANNEAU DE COMMANDES ET RÉGLAGES CUISSON COMMANDÉE PAR CAPTEUR Le capteur est un dispositif à semi-conducteur qui décèle la vapeur (humidité) émise par les aliments qui sont chauffés. Il permet de régler les durées de cuisson et la puissance de chauffe en fonction des divers aliments et de leur quantité. • Après le branchement du four, attendre 2 minutes avant d’utiliser ce type de cuisson. • S’assurer que l’extérieur du récipient de cuisson et l’intérieur du four sont secs.

Ex : Appuyer sur BEVERAGE trois fois pour 1,5 tasse. Il faut chauffer une quantité plus ou moins grande que celle inscrite au tableau selon les directives d'un livre de cuisine aux micro-ondes.

À la fin de la décongélation, couvrir et laisser reposer conformément au Tableau Defrost ci-dessous. Arrondir le poids à la demi-livre la plus proche. (Ex. : Si le poids du bifteck est 2,2 lb., arrondir à 2 lb.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN DÉSODORISATION Les pièces d'équipement fonctionnent mieux et durent plus longtemps quand elles sont entretenues correctement et tenues propres. Le matériel de cuisson ne fait pas exception. Il faut tenir propre votre four à micro-ondes monté au dessus d’une cuisinière et l'entretenir correctement. Il peut arriver qu’une odeur persiste dans le four.
REMPLACEMENT DU FILTRE REMPLACEMENT DES LUMIÈRES DU FOUR FILTRE AU CHARBON DE BOIS LUMIÈRE Le filtre au charbon de bois, équipe votre four pour les installations non-ventilée où l’air est remis en circulation. Le filtre doit être changé tous les 6 ou 12 mois selon l’usage. 1. Pour remplacer les ampoules, commencez par déconnecter le courant au panneau de disjoncteurs ou en débranchant le four. 1.
