CHIMNEY HOOD INSTALLATIONS INSTRUCTIONS Important safeguards Do not connect the exhaust hood to chimneys, flues and airducts serving the room. The evacuated air must not be let into a warm air duct. The exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when the range hood is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels.
4) 5) Hook or attach the hood to the bracket using the screws supplied and check carefully that it has been done properly. A few hoods may be supplied with specific screws for their horizontal or vertical adjustment (pict. 4/N). In order to provide an exact installation the cooker hood (in the rear of the body) is supplied with two holes of 8 mm (5/16) diameter (pict. 4/S), where the two screws with plugs have to be inserted (pict. 4/Q).

B. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to prevent backdrafting.
