Summary
You
have
just
learned how to use the
timing
and
state
analyzers
interactively to find a problem
that
first appeared to be a software
problem,
but
actually was a hardware problem
You have learned to:
• trigger one analyzer with
the
other
• time correlate measurement
data
•
interpret
the
Mixed mode display
• overlap timing waveforms
If you have an HP 1651A, you do not have enough channels to
simultaneously capture all the
data
for a 68000 But, since you
probably
aren't
working
with 16-bit microprocessors, this exercise is
still valuable because it shows you how to make the same kind of
measurement on an eight-bit microprocessor.
