DON'T DRILL HOLES IN YOUR TRUCK!
* Available in stores.
Use of Grip Rite System avoids drilling holes in rails of pickup.
Better Built would like to thank you and congratulate you on your purchase of a quality Better Built® product!
In order to maintain the nish of your chrome pull handle latches wash them with
mild soap and water whenever you wash your truck. Do not use abrasive, ammo-
nia-based, or acid cleaning solutions. To keep your pull handle latches looking new use
a light coat of chrome polish, available at most auto parts retailers, once every 3 months. If
you live near the ocean or where salt is used on the roads it is highly recom-
mended you follow the instructions listed above.

1. STANDARD TOOLBOX INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WITH GRIP RITE MOUNTING SYSTEM (SOLD SEPARATELY)
Better Built® tool boxes have pre-punched knock-outs in box ends for use with Grip Rite System.
•To use Grip Rites to mount tool box, push knockouts out of the way. (Only one-half of slot is needed) Use only
opposing slots on each side of tool box. (Using o-setting Grip Rite positions may cause lid to bind and
operate improperly.)
Place tool box across truck bed directly behind cab leaving a small air space between tool box and front ]
bulkhead of truckbed. Be sure the lid will not contact the truck cab when open.
Install provided strips to cushion tool box on truck bed rail. Mark positions of Grip Rite slots on
truck bed rail.
Remove tool box. Attach Grip Rites in positions as marked. (See Grip Rite Installation Instructions on
package.) Place tool box back into position. Bolt Grip Rites. USING MORE THAN ONE GRIP RITE ON EACH SIDE
IS UNNECESSARY AND WILL VOID TOOL BOX WARRANTY.

2. STANDARD TOOL BOX INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Place tool box across truck bed directly behind cab, leaving a small air space
between box and front bulkhead of truck bed.
• Be sure the lid will not contact the truck cab when open.
Install strips provided to cushion tool box on truck bed rail.
• On opposing ends of tool box drill 1/4” hole in top lip of tool box 1” from end of
box, being sure to drill into truck body. Secure with 3/8” sheet metal screws.
Secure no more than one screw at each end of tool box. USING MORE THAN ONE
SCREW ON EACH END OF TOOL BOX(i.e. putting screws in each of the four corners
of tool box to bind the box to truck bed) WILL VOID THE WARRANTY
for the tool box.
To keep the tool box looking as new and shiny as possible, wash and
wax the tool box at the same time as the pickup. Use Diamond Brite
Truck Box Polish or a gentle aluminum or mag wheel polish to maintain
shine. A light lubrication of oil is recommended for the hinge after
washing. Soap, water, and sunlight tend to remove the oil lm
placed on the hinge prior to shipment.
Use of more than one
Grip Rite clamp or
machine screw per side
WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
