Step 5 å First, fasten the LOWER ENDS (C and D) to the BOTTOM (F). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. å Then, fasten the LOWER ENDS (C and D) to the SHELF (G). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. C Just think. Step 6 å Unfold the SMALL BACK (Q) and lay it over the bottom of your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the SMALL BACK (Q). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å Fasten the bottom and side edges of the SMALL BACK (Q) to your unit using the NAILS (10). å NOTE: Do not fasten the upper edge of the SMALL BACK at this time. å å Repeat this step for the LARGE BACK (P). Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened.
Step 7 å å Carefully turn your unit over onto its back. å Fasten the UPPER END MOLDINGS (N) to the UPPER ENDS (A and B). Tighten six HIDDEN CAMS. Fasten the VALANCE (K) to the TOP (E) and UPPER ENDS (A and B). Tighten five HIDDEN CAMS. K N Curved edge E B N A Curved edge These surfaces should be even. Page 10 www.sauder.
Step 8 å Fasten the SHELF MOLDING (L) to the SHELF (G). Tighten three HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the LOWER END MOLDINGS (O) to the LOWER ENDS (C and D). Tighten six HIDDEN CAMS. These surfaces should be even. Curved edge L O D G O C Curved edge These surfaces should be even. 423733 www.sauder.
Step 9 å Fasten the BASE (M) to the LOWER ENDS (C and D) and BOTTOM (F). Tighten five HIDDEN CAMS. å With your hammer, gently tap the TACK GLIDES (4) into the bottom edges of the LOWER ENDS (C and D) and BASE (M). Step 10 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å å å å Place your unit in its final location against a wall. We recommend using the FURNITURE TIPPING RESTRAINT KIT (99) for added stability. Fasten a bracket to the center of the back edge of the TOP (E) and 1/4" down from the top edge using the 5/8" screw as shown. Follow the instructions included in the KIT to fasten your unit to the wall. Insert the METAL PINS (3) into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A, B, C, and D).
Step 11 å å å å å Fasten an ADJUSTABLE SHELF MOLDING (J) to one of the ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (H). Tighten three HIDDEN CAMS. Repeat this step for the remaining ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (H) and ADJUSTABLE SHELF MOLDINGS (J). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (H) onto the METAL PINS in the ENDS (A, B, C, and D). NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
