NOTE:
1.Never pry the belt onto the torque converter drive cluth and
driven unit when installing the belt.
2.If you can install the belt without taking the clutch apart, the
belt is too long.
3.The flat side of the belt is always facing towards the engine,
the angled side faces out.
** Recommended Procedure **
1. Measured from the center of the clutch to the center of the driven
pulley, the center distance is between 7 9/16 ''to 7 5/8 ''(6'' Driven),
or from 6 13/16 ''to 6 7/8 ''(7'' Driven).
2. Remove the bolt and outer moveable sheave from the end of the
engine crankshaft and take the outer half of the clutch off , then clean
the clutch.
3. Install the belt with the flat side towards the engine, on the bronze
bushing.
4. Make sure both components are perfectly aligned, flat washers and
shims are used as spacers.
5. Try to takes to align both sprockets, then the chain will stay on, and
both components make the side of the belt Keep better performance.
