*** Die Herzfrequenz, gemessen in Herzschläge/Minute, wird durch Unterteilung des Herzschlagintervalls in 60 Sekunden bestimmt. 4. Vor der Inbetriebnahme: 4.1 Batterien einlegen • Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefaches. • Legen Sie zwei Batterien vom Typ CR 2032 ein. Achten Sie unbedingt darauf, dass die Batterien entsprechend der Kennzeichnung mit korrekter Polung eingelegt werden. Verwenden Sie keine wiederaufladbaren Akkus. • Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wieder sorgfältig. 4.
5. Durchführen von Messungen 1. Es gibt drei verschiedene Methoden um die Messung durchzuführen. Beginnen Sie mit Messmethode A „rechter Zeigefinger-Brust“. Können bei dieser Messmethode keine oder keine stabilen (häufige Anzeige: „EE“) Messungen erreicht werden, wechseln Sie auf Methode B „linker Zeigefinger-Brust“ und ggf. dann auf C „linke Hand - rechte Hand“.
5 cm Die richtige Position zur Platzierung der unteren Elektrode des Geräts auf Ihrer Brust kann mit den folgenden Methoden bestimmt werden: • Gehen Sie von Ihrer vorderen Achselhöhle aus nach unten. Gleichzeitig gehen Sie von Ihrer untersten linken Rippe 10 cm nach oben. Platzieren Sie die untere Elektrode des Geräts an dieser Stelle. oder • Gehen Sie vom unteren Ende der Mitte Ihres Brustkorbs (Sternum) aus nach links. Gleichzeitig gehen Sie von Ihrer vorderen Achselhöhle aus nach unten.
Messmethode B Top Electrodes 5 cm „linker Zeigefinger-Brust“ (entspricht näherungsweise „Ableitung 3“) Legen Sie Ihren linken Zeigefinger auf die beiden oberen Elektroden des Geräts und halten Sie das Gerät nach oben gerichtet in Ihrer Hand. Die richtige Position zur Platzierung der unteren Elektrode des Geräts auf Ihrer Brust kann mit den folgenden Methoden bestimmt werden: • Gehen Sie von Ihrer vorderen Achselhöhle aus nach unten.
Messmethode C „linke Hand - rechte Hand“ (entspricht näherungsweise „Ableitung 1“) Legen Sie Ihren rechten Zeigefinger auf die beiden oberen Elektroden des Geräts. Legen Sie einen Finger Ihrer linken Hand auf die untere Elektrode. Drücken Sie die untere Elektrode bis Sie ein klickendes Geräusch hören oder fühlen. Achtung: Pressen Sie das Gerät nicht zu stark gegen Ihre Haut.
Hinweis: Wenn die untere Elektrode innerhalb von drei Sekunden nach Messbeginn entfernt wird, wird die Messung als EE angezeigt. Häufige Gründe für ungenaue Messergebnisse Keine ausreichend feste Berührung der Elektroden mit dem Finger. Messungen, die über der bzw. durch die Kleidung vorgenommen werden. Das Gerät wird in die falsche Richtung gehalten. Das Gerät wird mit der falschen Seite auf den Brustkorb gedrückt.
Während der Messung besteht Hautkontakt zwischen der linken und rechten Hand (Messmethode C) bzw. zwischen der für die Messung verwendeten Hand und der Brust (Messmethode A/B). 6. • Electrocardiograms recorded using the ME 90 reflect heart activity at the time of measurement. As such, any changes occurring before or after the measurement is taken may not necessarily be detected. • The ECG measurements, such as those taken with the ME 90, cannot detect all heart disorders. Regardless of the measurement taken using the ME 90, you should consult your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms that could indicate acute heart disease.
• Do not use the device during an MRI scan. • Do not expose the device to any static electricity. Always ensure that you are free of static electricity before operating the device. * • Do not place the device in water or liquids. Do not clean the device with acetone or other volatile solutions. Clean the device with a cloth dampened with water or a mild cleaning liquid. Then dry the device using a dry cloth. • Do not place the device in pressure containers or gas sterilisation devices.
Notes on handling batteries • If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, rinse the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance. • Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store the batteries out of the reach of small children. • Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs. • If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth. • Protect the batteries from excessive heat.
3. Device description 3.1 Main functions • The device takes about 30 seconds to produce the cardiogram measurement. • The device performs an automatic analysis using the data and provides the correspondi- ng results. • The ME 90 allows a maximum of 36 measurement data records to be stored on the device itself. After that, the old measurement records are overwritten.

Before initial use: 4.1 Inserting the batteries • Open the battery compartment lid • Insert the two CR 2032 batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted the correct way round. Do not use rechargeable batteries. • Subsequently close the battery compartment lid carefully. 4.2 Setting the date and time It is essential to set the date and time.
5. Taking measurements 1. There are three different methods of taking the measurement. Start with measurement method A, „right index finger–chest“. If this method does not deliver measurements, or delivers only unstable measurements („EE“ is frequently displayed), switch to method B „left index finger–chest“ and, if necessary, to method C „left hand–right hand“. The most suitable method/procedure depends on the heart configuration (shape of the heart) of each individual user.
Measurement method A "right index finger-chest" (approximately corresponds to "lead 2") Place your right index finger on the two upper electrodes on the device and hold the device vertically in your hand. Top Electrodes 5 cm You can determine the correct position for placing the lower electrode of the device against your chest using the following methods: • Draw an imaginary line from the front of your armpit downwards.
Measurement method B Top Electrodes 5 cm "left index finger-chest" (approximately corresponds to "lead 3") Place your left index finger on the two upper electrodes on the device and hold the device vertically in your hand. You can determine the correct position for placing the lower electrode of the device against your chest using the following methods: • Draw an imaginary line from the front of your armpit downwards.
Measurement method C "left hand–right hand" (approximately corresponds to "lead 1") Place your right index finger on the two upper electrodes on the device. Place a finger of your left hand on the lower electrode. Press the lower electrode until you hear or feel a click. Important: Do not press the device too firmly against your skin. ote: Please note that there must be no skin contact between your right and left hand N (measurement method C) or hand and chest (measurement methods A/B).
ote: If the bottom electrode is removed within the space of three seconds after the N measurement starts, the measurement will be displayed as EE .
