Coffee Maker Owner’s Manual 11. More About Making a Great Cup of Coffee There are only two ingredients that go into making a great cup of coffee: water and coffee. The quality and freshness of both ingredients is critical to producing a delicious cup of coffee. Water Although a cup of coffee is 98% water, water quality is often taken for granted when brewing coffee. Chemicals added to tap water and minerals that are naturally present in the water will influence the taste and aroma of brewed coffee.
