01 Overview Introducing the Tactsuit X40, a wireless haptic vest that packs 40 individually controllable vibrotactile motors. Stay immersed in your content with positional haptic feedback delivered to every corner of your body. Tactsuit is compatible with a wide range of platforms, including PC, VR, Mobile, and console. Tactsuit X16 is designed to be a strong, yet lightweight haptic vest that you can wear for hours. The short and breathable design makes long sit-down gaming sessions much more enjoyable.

02 Getting Started Product Charging Fully charge the device before use for stable use of the device. You can use 2A charging cable included in the package to charge the device. It takes about 5 hours, Tactsuit X40, and 2.5 hours, Tactsuit X16, to fully charge the device using 2A charging current.
Power On / Off Power on Push Lights will turn on in 3 stages Ready to be Paired when Blinking Blue If the power does not turn on, check if it is sufficiently charged. Auto Power Off The device will turn off automatically after 3 minutes if it is not paired. Blinking Blue Lights will turn off in 3 stages Manual Power Off Lights will turn off in 3 stages ※ If the device is still paired when powered off, it will pair automatically when you turn on the device again.
Product Fitting 1 Loosen all the side straps and unzip the zipper. 2 Zip up and pull the side straps (*4) towards the front to adjust the suit and fit to your body. 3 After adjusting the size, organize the straps hanging with the Elastic Loop located at the end of the strap. You do not need to repeat this step again once it is organized to fit your body. ※ You can also adjust the length of the device using the shoulder snap buttons.

PC VR Playing Content with Embedded Haptics Embedded haptic feedback for each content will be delivered according to the events, enhancing your immersion more than ever before. Be sure to disable the "Audio based Haptics" feature. Leaving the feature ON will deliver automatic feedback generated by the "Audio based Haptics" function instead of the content's embedded feedback.

PC VR Playing content without embedded haptics Enjoying Audio based Haptics (Wireless) Audio based Haptics feature creates haptic feedback in real time based on audio output of content. You can now enjoy all content regardless of native integration. Be sure to turn off Wired Audio or remove the audio jack from the device.
1) Pairing the Tactsuit with PC* * Refer to 14pg. 2) Turn on Audio based Haptics function When Audio to Haptic function and audio signals are on, the audio signal animation will appear on the device icon. 3) Select Content Type (VR / PC FPS / Music), Theme and Mode (stereo/surround) you will be using You need to have a surround audio driver installed on your PC in order to use the Surround mode.
Standalone VR Playing Content with Embedded Haptics Check the Standalone VR content with embedded haptics at www.bhaptics.com/games. 1) Download and Install Content Download the content you want to play from the content store (such as the Oculus Store) and run it. 2) Connect devices from In-game Menu Run your game > Go to in-game settings menu > Find bHaptics Settings > Press pair button to pair. Pairing steps from in-game menu may vary by each game.
Playing content without embedded haptics Enjoying Audio based Haptics (Wired) You can use Y jack and audio cable (stereo only) to enjoy every standalone VR contents with Tactsuit. 1) Plug & Play Connect your 1) Audio Source with 2) Tactsuit X40/16 and 3) Headphone using Y jack and audio cable as shown in the diagram below.
PC Game Enjoying Audio based Haptics (Wireless) Enjoy the most dynamic gameplay with 360° directional haptic feedback converted from 7.1 surround sound. Please refer to PC VR > Enjoying Audio to Haptic (Wireless)* *Refer to 16pg In order to use PC FPS, you need to select Surround Mode to feel 360° directional haptic feedback. You need to have a surround driver installed on your PC in order to use the Surround mode.

04 bHaptics Software bHaptics Player bHaptics Player is an essential software required to connect your device with PC and mobile. You can manage the play mode (embedded haptics/audio based haptics), haptic intensity, visualization tool and access bHaptics Portal using this software. https://www.bhaptics.

Intensity Adjustment You can adjust the feedback intensity of each device in realtime by clicking on each device icons. Device Management You can check the list of device from Settings( ) > Device. Here you can pair/unpair devices, check the device information, and change the devices settings.
bHaptics Player (Mobile) bHaptics Player (Mobile) is an application used to change themes and settings when using “wired” options for Audio based Haptics. https://www.bhaptics.
Device Control Bluetooth and location setting must be activated from your mobile settings. Do not pair directly from the Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone. Device Status Scanned Connected Audio Jack Connected Device Pairing Click click and click of the device that you want to pair or to pair all scanned device. Intensity Adjustment Once the Tactsuit is paired to your mobile application, the control panel for feedback intensity will appear. Device Information Press to see device information.
bHaptics Player (Mobile) Audio-to-Haptic When using wired options for Audio based Haptics, you can select the theme and customize the settings by connecting the device with bHaptics Player (Mobile). 1 Select device. Select a device which has the audio jack plugged in. 2 Select Theme (Rhythm, Beat, FPS, Sport). 3 Change frequency ranges and thresholds of the sound you want to feel.
bHaptics Studio https://studio.bhaptics.com/ bHaptics Studio is an Audio based Haptic customization tool which allows you to create or edit the theme by selecting range of frequencies, threshold and activation area to feel the sound. Currently bHaptics Studio only supports Windows OS.
bHaptics Studio How to Use 1 Select from Stereo or Surround mode for your sound channel. ex. For 7.1 sound channel, select surround mode 2 Select frequency band using on/off button and adjust the threshold by dragging the brackets based on the decibel (dB) level on the Audio Signal Panel. The audio signal panel will show frequency response of the sound your are playing now. 3 Select activation area for each frequencies. 4 Monitor activated haptics in realtime for each frequencies and feedback point.
bHaptics Designer https://designer.bhaptics.com/ bHaptics Designer is a web-based haptic feedback authoring tool that you can use to create haptic patterns by clicking and dragging between visualized haptic feedback points. Simply click on the “Export” button to integrate haptic patterns into your content. This tool will help you minimize development time and effort significantly. Support FAQ Which Content(Platform) can you enjoy? You can enjoy various contents on VR(PCVR, Standalone VR), PC(Games, Music and Movie) and Console etc, using embedded haptics or audio based haptics. Does TactSuit provide body tracking? / Can I use Vive Trackers with TactSuit? It does not provide body tracking at the moment. If you want to attach Vive Tracker, please contact our support team(contact@bhaptics.com).
Trouble Shooting I can’t connect TactSuit to my PC. Is the TactSuit or Bluetooth dongle defective? Open Device Manager on your PC and disable PC’s internal Bluetooth before inserting the provided dongle. If you see CSR Bluetooth Radio under Bluetooth, please uninstall all software related to CSR Bluetooth, then insert the provided dongle. I can’t connect TactSuit to Oculus Quest 2 Please make sure you are pairing the vest in the in-game bHaptics settings, not on the Quest's Bluetooth settings.
Health & Safety Warnings To ensure the safety of all users and to minimize the problems that may occur during using the product, please carefully read and follow the manual and warnings before using the product. Before Using the Product • Please read and follow all the instructions and warnings for set up and operate the product. • The product is not a toy and should not be used children under age 12.
Always use in a safe environment to secure physical/mental safety and prevent damage to property. • Never handle dangerous goods such as fire, knives, hot water, etc. while using the product, and do not use the product in situations that require attention(such as bicycling, driving or walking and in unstable locations such as car, train or bus). And do not do any activities that may cause serious consequences(any activities that may cause death, personal injury or damage to property).
Health & Safety Warnings If you have any of the following disease, please be careful about using the product. • Heart Disease If you are startled by the haptic feedback delivered by the product, it can be hard on your heart. Therefore, please consult your doctor before use the product. • Respiratory Disease Excessive tightening of the side straps may cause breath problems or seizures. • Spine/ Muscle Disease When strong haptic feedback is delivered to your body, it can affect your spine and muscles.
If you experience any of the following symptoms, stop to use the product immediately and consult your doctor. • Difficulty in breathing, dizziness, seizures, muscle cramps or stiffness, skin burning, excessive sweating, headache, fatigue, involuntary movements, nausea, swelling, itching or rashes. • Don’t use the product until symptoms described above are relieved. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor and you have to get your doctor’s approval to use the product again.
Cautions Product Usage Precautions • Use the product only for its intended purpose. • The recommended environments for stable operation are as follows: – Temperature : 0 ~ 35 ºC, Huminity : 5~95% – Do not use the product in dusty places • You may get zapped when you use the product in a dry place. This is caused by static electricity, and not a product malfunction. • Be sure to use accessories and parts that bHaptics Inc. provides, or get official approval from us before using.
• If you use the product frequently or for long time period, you may experience tiredness or soreness in your muscles and body parts. Therefore, take a rest between uses even if you do not think you need it. And if you feel discomfort, take longer and more frequent breaks. • The product contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Please follow below instructions for your safe usage of the product and prevent personal injury, damage of the product.
Cautions • Stop using the product immediately when you have an allergic reaction to the clothes or metals of the product. • To prevent electric shot, do not disassemble, modify or open any of the product component. And if the product is broken or damaged(especially any cable is damaged or a wire is exposed) do not use the product and ask for repairs from the official service center. • Do not cause a strong impact to the product(do not drop the product or place a heavy object on it).
Product Care Precautions • Keep the product in the following environment to prevent degradation of the product. – Keep the product in cool and dry place(Recommended storage temperatures: 0~35 ºC, 5~95% humidity) – Do not expose the product to dust, smoke, steam or direct sunlight. – The product includes haptic motors and cables, so to prevent breakdown of the product, do not leave or store the product folded and crumped. Put the product in the package box and store it in safe place when not in use.
Cautions • Be careful not to drop, throw and bend the product. Those may cause damage of the product. If it happens and suspect any damages please contact to the bHaptics official service center. • If the product is damaged or malfunctioning, stop to use it immediately and contact bHaptics official service center. Unauthorized repairing may cause further damage of the product and your Warranty will become null and void.
• The inner mesh lining can be detached and machine washed with neutral detergent (Frequent machine wash can cause deterioration) – If you use the dryer machine, please set the temperature as “low” to prevent deterioration of the product. – We recommend you replace the inner mesh lining periodically to maintain the product in hygienic conditions. Limited Customer Warranty Read this information before using your device. By using your bHaptics product, you agree to the limited warranty. If you do not accept this limited warranty, do not use your bHaptics product. Instead, Please return it to bHaptics or the retailer from whom you purchased it within the return period stated in bHaptics return policy (Found at www.bhaptics.com/legals/cancellation-returnrefund) for refund.
• What is covered by this limited warranty and for how long? This Warranty covers defects and malfunctions in the new bHaptics product(s) it accompanies (the “Product”). We warrant that the Product will, under normal and intended use, function substantially in accordance with our technical specifications or accompanying product documentation (the “Warranted Functionality”) during the Warranty Period.
Limited Customer Warranty • What will bHaptics do if there is a problem with the product? If your Product is defective or malfunctioning, we will either repair or replace that Product, or update software or services, so that the Product performs substantially according to the Warranted Functionality. The approach taken to resolve any issues will be at our sole choice. If we determine that a product should be replaced, the replacement may be a new, refurbished, or remanufactured Product.
