PREPARING THE MOUNTING STRUCTURE: I-BEAM

I-Beam mounting guidelines

Big Ass Fans does not recommend mounting the fan to a fabricated I-beam.

Do not mount the fan directly to an I-beam without the upper mount, extension tube, and lower yoke.

The I-beam must be part of the existing building structure.

Select mounting holes

Measure the ﬂange width of the I-beam from which the fan will be hung. Select the upper mount mounting holes

that match the ﬂange width.
