PS3 Audio and Chat settings
1. After powering on the PS3™ console scroll across left with your controller to the “Settings”.
2. Then scroll down to the “Sound Settings” and press X.
3. Then select the “Audio Output settings” and press X.
4. Then select “Audio Input Connector / SCART / MULTI AV” and press X.
5. Then press X to conrm. Your Audio output is now congured.
Note: If you are using HDMI or Optical digital for your usual sound output, select the “HDMI” or “Optical
Digital” setting at point 4 and select it as “Automatic”.
Then when you are back at the Audio Output Settings, scroll down to the “Audio Multi Output” and select this
as “On” by pressing the X button. This will then allow sound through all possible channels, including your
headset.
6. You now need to congure your chat settings. In the “Settings” menu, scroll down to “Accessory Settings”
and press X.
7. Then scroll down to “Audio Device Settings” and press X.
8. On the Input device scroll up or down until you nd the “USB Headset”. You will notice that there is a blue
spot next to the word to indicate that it is on.
9. Then scroll up to the microphone level and set it to 3. This is normally OK, but if you feel it is too low or
too quiet you can set it up or down from 1 to 5. If you speak into the microphone you will be able to hear
yourself to ensure it is working. Ensure that you have adjusted the volume setting on the remote so sound is
coming through OK.
10. Scroll down to the “OK” button and press X. Your headset is now congured.
