AUTOMATED MASONRY SYSTEM
WARNING:
IMPROPER USE OF THIS EQUIPMENT WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS IN-
JURY OR DEATH.
ASSEMBLY:
DO NOT use damaged or deteriorated equipment.
Begin assembly with leveling jacks and mud sills. Secure leveling jacks to mud sills.
DO NOT use unstable objects under leveling jacks and/or mud sills.
The footing must be sound, rigid, and capable of carrying the maximum intended load with
-
out settling or displacement.
Use only leveling jacks (maximum extension of 12 inches) to adjust
to uneven surfaces.
All tower sections must be secured together by threading connecting
bolt through nut in previous tower or base and tightening to at least
175 ft. lbs.
DO NOT use tower if connecting bolt or nut is damaged and/or will
not tighten.
Bracing must be used in the following man
-
ner:
1. A diagonal brace must be secured
between and perpendicular to pairs of
bases to ensure squareness. (Applies
to closed bay only.)
2. A diagonal brace must be secured
across the splice that joins the base to
the rst tower. (Applies to closed bay
only.)
3. A diagonal brace must be secured
between each set of towers. (Applies to
closed bay only.)
4. Two horizontal braces must be secured
between carriages. (Applies to open
bay only.)
