CA Prop 65

About California Proposition 65
California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that
contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other
reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold
levels. We care about our customers' safety and hope that the information below helps with your
buying decisions.
We are providing the following warning for products linked to this page:
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer
and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Tools
California requires the following notice:
WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and
birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
lead from lead-based paints,
crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.
Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of
work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety
equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
Lead Crystal Glasses
Lead levels in the crystal glasses sold in our Kitchen & Housewares Store comply with FDA
standards. California requires the following separate notice:
WARNING: Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal
products will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth
defects or other reproductive harm. This warning does not apply to Baccarat decanters, flacons,
stoppered pitchers, and mustard and jam pots.
