ThecassettebaysarelabeledAandBforconvenience,andthecassettesarefreelyinterchangeable
betweenthebays.Thereisnopreferenceastowhichbaycontainswhichcassettewhenrunningthe
combinationof1midiand2minigels.Also,onebay(eitherAorB)canremainemptyduringarun.

TheuserinterfaceconsistsofanLCDmenuscreenonthefrontofthesystem.Threebuttonsbelowthe
screenareusedtonavigateamongmenuscreens.Threebuttonstotherightofthescreenareforuser
selections.Astandardalphanumerickeypadisusedforinputoftextandnumbers.
FromtheHomemenu,threemodesareavailable:
•NEWmode.Create,run,andsaveanewprotocolforyourproteinofinterest
•LISTmode.SelectfromeitheralistofBio-Radpreprogrammedprotocolsoptimizedforavarietyof
proteinandgeltypesoralistofuser-denedprotocols
•TURBOmode.QuickaccessmenufortransfersofmixedMWproteins(MW5–150kD).Designedfor
efcienttransferofawidevarietyofproteinsoverabroadrangeofmolecularweights
