Shock, Remove Cord Plug from Outlet
Before Opening Appliance. To Prevent
Risk of Fire, Inspect and Clean Equipment
Regularly as Noted in This Manual.
HOW THE AIR PURIFIER WORKS
Dirty, dust laden air is drawn through the rear
of the air puri er and through the multi-stage
ltration system.
1. The washable foam pre- lter captures larger
particles and extends the HEPA-type lter’s
replacement cycle.
2. The HEPA-type lter entraps 99% of all
smaller visible and non-visible particles down
to 2 microns in size.
3. The independent ioniser naturally improves
performance and freshens the air.
PRODUCT FEATURES
High, Medium and Low settings
For optimum air ltration, operate your air puri er
continuously on the Medium (2) setting. Its
rugged motor has been designed to give many
years of use. For quieter operation (such as in a
bedroom), select the Low (1) setting. When high
levels of air pollution are present, select the High
(3) setting.
Filter Service Indicator
The lter service indicator light (L) eliminates
guesswork by letting you know when it is time to
replace the HEPA-type lter. The light is green
when the lter is fully clean, yellow when the lter
is nearing replacement, and red when the lter
needs to be replaced. After the lter is replaced,
reset by pressing down 3 seconds on the lter
reset button (I). Note that the green and red lights
will blink three times when the unit is turned on,
and the green light will blink three times after
being reset.
Timer
The timer allows you to run the air puri er
at your convenience for 2, 4 or 8 hours, and
automatically turns the power off when time is up.
Ioniser
This appliance has an independent ioniser
feature which, when turned on, releases negative
ions into outgoing ltered air to help the air
puri cation process.
What Are Ions?
Ions are tiny particles that carry a positive or
negative charge. They exist naturally around us:
in the air, water, and ground. Both positive and
negative ions are colourless, odourless, and
completely harmless.
How Does The Ioniser Work?
Negative ions help air puri cation by attaching
themselves to very small airborne particles in the
room. These particles take on a negative charge
and may join with positively charged particles
such as dust, pollen, smoke, and pet dander to
form larger particles. The larger particles are then
more easily captured by the lter system.
Important Notes:
Your ioniser may produce an occasional popping
or cracking sound. This is normal and occurs
when a small buildup of ions is discharged.
After extended use, you may notice dust around
the grills or front panel.
This is caused by negative ions exiting the air
outlet, evidence of the ionisers air cleaning
effectiveness.
You can remove the dust with a soft brush or
clean, damp cloth.
Larger particles may be attracted to positively
charged surfaces throughout the home, like walls
or oors.
This may occur more frequently when the lter
is nearing the end of its useful product life and
unable to capture as many charged particles.
Excessive amounts of pet dander, dust, or
smoke may decrease the life expectancy of
the lter(s) and interfere with the ionisation
process.
To help prevent particles from attracting to
surfaces throughout your home:
You may want to run the ioniser less often.
Check the condition of the lter(s) more
frequently.
CAUTION: The ioniser in this appliance
produces less ozone than the UL* established
limits of 50ppb. However, in high concentrations,
ozone can be harmful to birds and small pets.
To prevent ozone buildup, we suggest using the
ioniser in well ventilated areas with the fan on.
*tested and listed by the Underwriters
Laboratories, Inc.
NOTE: it is important to change the
HEPA-type lter at recommended intervals. Using
the ioniser in conjunction with dirty lters may
result in dirty particles exiting the air puri er and
being attracted to walls, carpets, furniture and
other household objects. These dirty particles
may prove very dif cult to remove.
PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully unpack your air puri er.
2. Select a rm level place where there are
no obstructions to the air inlet (rear grill) or
ltered air outlet.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug into a 220-240V electrical outlet.
2. Press the Power button (
).
3. You can then press the Speed button
( ) for the desired speed setting: HIGH (3),
MEDIUM (2), or LOW (1).
4. To release negative ions into the ltered air,
press the Ioniser button (
) and the light will
illuminate.
5.
You may set the timer so that it automatically
turns off when the desired time has elapsed.
Press the Timer button ( ) until you reach
the desired number of hours you want the unit
to operate (2, 4 or 8). The number of hours
will light up and remain illuminated. When the
time has expired, the air puri er will turn off. To
cancel the timer, press the Timer button ( )
one more time. You may also cancel the timer
operation by turning the Power button off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
Turn the air puri er off and unplug it before
cleaning.
2.
The outside of the air puri er can be cleaned
with a soft, clean dampened cloth.
3.
The ltered air outlet on the back of the unit
can be cleaned of dust with a small, soft
brush.
4.
