Preemie Transport Blanket
Instructions for Use
Warning:
• Preemie Transport Blanket is a single use product only.
• Do not use on infants with abdominal wall defects, meningomyelocele,
major congenital anomaly, or obvious skin disorder.
• DO NOT use if Preemie Transport Blanket has been tampered with.
• AVOID any contact with any heated surfaces.
• DO NOT place any portion of the Preemie Transport Blanket over the
infants face. Ensure the airway is clear at all times.
• DO NOT wrap the infant too tightly.
• ALWAYS monitor infant body temperature.
• Remove the Preemie Transport Blanket once the infant begins to
regulate his/her own temperature.
Transport Technique:
1. Prior to delivery, unfold the Preemie
Transport Blanket and lay at on a surface,
bubble side down.
Note location of important design features.
2. Position the infant in the center of the
Preemie Transport Blanket with his/her
head between the U-shaped shoulder aps.
NOTE: Monitor infant temperature at
all times.
3. Fold the right side of the blanket
over the infant rst.
4. Remove the white tabs to reveal the adhesive
backing on the Preemie Transport Blanket.
5. Fold the left side of the blanket over
the right side, while gently pressing
the adhesive backing to secure the
blanket together.
6. Remove the white tabs on the U-Shaped
shoulder aps to reveal the adhesive backing
on the Preemie Transport Blanket.
7. Lastly, fold the shoulder aps over the
infant, securing to shoulder aps onto
the blanket using the adhesive backing.
Note: Perforated Openings on both sides
of the U-Shaped shoulder aps give access
to the infant without having to take the
Preemie Transport Blanket o.
