Igloo® Wound Irrigation Shield Instructions
1. Prep and drape the wound in a sterile fashion. Prepare a basin with sterile saline
or other desired irrigant solution.
2. Fill a standard luer lock syringe or other delivery device with the irrigation
solution.
3. Attach the Igloo Wound Irrigator to the tip of the syringe or other delivery device.
4. Place the Igloo Wound Irrigator over the wound, lightly touching the skin of the
patient. For large, spacious (or chronic) wounds, place Igloo just above the wound
surface.
5. Irrigate the wound in the usual fashion; syringe may need to be relled one or
more times as needed.
6. After use, discard the Igloo Wound Irrigator appropriately.
DO NOT RE-USE OR RESTERILIZE. SINGLE-USE ONLY.
Igloo® Wound Irrigation System Instructions
1. Prep and drape the wound in a sterile fashion. Prepare a basin and sterile
saline bottle.
2. Straighten irrigation tubing.
3. Twist the Igloo Irrigation System adapter onto saline bottle until tight.
Irrigation tubing should reach bottom of bottle.
4. Attach the Igloo Wound Irrigation Shield to the tip of the irrigation wand.
5. Place the Igloo Wound Irrigation Shield over the wound, lightly touching the
skin of the patient. For large, spacious (or chronic) wounds, place Igloo just
above the wound surface.
6. Irrigate the wound in the usual fashion.
7. After use, discard the Igloo Wound Irrigation System appropriately.
