Bircher Reglomat Fail-Safe Wiring for Safety Mats
All Bircher Reglomat safety mats are supplied with two 2-conductor leads. Bircher Reglomat safety mats can be
wired in two different configurations: as a two-wire system or a four-wire system.
Two-wire system: Bircher Reglomat safety mats meet Category 3 (fail-safe wiring) using two lead wires and an
external terminating 8.2kOhm resistor, when used in conjunction with a Category 3 Bircher Reglomat controller. This
method is easy to wire and saves time during installation. A complimentary 8.2kOhm resistor is shipped with every
safety mat system.
Example shows only one safety controller sensor input used.
Four-wire system: Bircher Reglomat safety mats can also be wired in a four-wire fail-safe configuration if required
(if using a 3


