Field without the clip Field with the clip
The field geometry is altered by means of the clip. After insertion or removal of the clip,
each time disconnect the operating voltage for at least 5 seconds.

Programming using the control keys (without the remote control unit)
A few functions of the motion detector (field size and direc-
tion recognition) can be set without remote control, i.e.,
directly at the sensor using the control keys (emergency
settings).
However, for the purpose of completeness and for optimum
operation of your automatic door, it is recommended to use
the remote control for programming.
Please consult your contact person or visit the website of
the manufacturer for additional instructions concerning
programming without remote control.

The Jupiter/Jupiter SE can be used in numerous applica
tions
under different ambient conditions. Some special instal
lation
situations make it necessary to use so-called “filters”. Two
different filter functions are available:
a) Interference suppression filters
(or immunity filters)
The Jupiter/Jupiter SE is basically immune to external sources
of interference (vibration, fluorescent lights etc.). Never-
theless, extremely strong or close sources of interfer
ence can
lead to erroneous activation. The digital interference
suppres-
sion filter can be switched on in order to avoid this.
b) Door filter
This filter prevents the door from reversing as it closes.

Depending on its installation position and the sensors set
values, such as field size, inclination angle of the radar
module, cross-traffic optimisation etc., the motion detector
recognises the closing door as an object and sends a new
opening signal to the door control system, which results in
reverse movement of the door panels.
When the door filter is switched on, the filter function is
activated at the sensor shortly before each closing operation.
This has the effect of the door being “ignored”. This filter
function can result in the size of the detection area being
temporarily reduced.
This door filter has no effect if a time delay has been set on the
door controller for the closing procedure.
Recommendation: Set the shortest possible delay on the door
controller. Instead, use the “additional fall-delay time” function
of the sensor (chapter 4.5) to close the door after a delay.
